ISU Internship

So Jon finished his internship last Wednesday and he is very excited to be done with it. I am not sure exactly what he did but he measured defects in copper using a radioactive source which emitted positrons. I know it is complected. But here are some pictures that he took.

Radioactive Source Na-22

I guess this peak means that they are receiving a 511 keV gamma ray

Measuring the defects in copper samples

This is what is in the wood box and in the lead house. Apparently this container had to be filled with liquid nitrogen.

Wow. Jon that was pretty fancy stuff. Guess you didn't go to BYU-High to chew on the books!...but if your kids come out looking like Sloth from the Goonies, we will know who to blame!

You have no clue what you're talking about. I like that in a person. That's how I am with Stephan's physics. Although I probably know more than the average person about acoustics because of him. Hopefully.
