Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Kristin braced the lightening and hail storms and made the long drive(or what seems like a long drive) from Dallas. We were so happy to have her here with us. It is nice to spend holidays with family. Plus, I know Abigail really loved having someone else around besides her boring parents.

Abby and her dad deciding which color to use.

Putting the finishing touches(stickers) on Abby's pink egg.

We thought that Abigail would make a lovely egg so we added stickers to her. I am not so sure she was a fan of the idea. She would try and take the stickers off, only to have them get stuck on her fingers.

The Easter Bunny came bearing gifts and eggs filled with goldfish for Abby and candy for Jon.

Besides all the fun traditions of coloring eggs, egg hunts, candy and the Easter bunny, I truly love Easter. It is a time we can remember the great miracle of the Resurrection of our Savior and because of this gift, we too can live again.
This Easter, just happens to be two days before the death anniversary of the passing of my Mom and I have been thinking about her a lot and I have been missing her so badly. I wish she could be here, but I am so glad that I can say with out any doubt or hesitation, I know I will see her again!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

The dress that lives on...

When I was growing up, my mom always liked to make matching dresses for us girls and herself. I am not sure what happened to all of those dresses, but one of them seemed to have survived and I am so glad it did. My dad gave Marnie the smallest dress originally made for Juliann, when Penelope was born and later Ginger. Then when Abigail was born Marnie passed the dress on to me. Now it is Abigail's turn to wear it.

My mom, Marnie, Juliann and me.

Recent Photos

I realize that all my posts are about Abigail, and this post is no exception. What can I say, she is my life. So here are just some photos of her that I have taken in the last few weeks. Enjoy!

Crabby Abby!

Abigail can have such a bad temper these days. Hmm... I wonder where she gets it from. I would like to blame Jon for this wonderful attribute of her's, but i am sure my siblings would set me straight. Abigail gets so mad and starts shouting out sentences of jibberish as if she is yelling at us. These photos say it all. This is Crabby Abby at her best.
