Christmas and New Year's

Jon and I were able to go to Rhode Island and spend time with his family for Christmas and New Years. Several days after arriving in Rhode Island a huge snow storm came and it was just what I imagined New England to look like in the winter. It was beautiful.
So this was our first christmas together and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was fun to see the kind of traditions Jon's family has. It made me wonder what kind of traditions Jon and I will have in the future.

On New Year's Eve Jon's family has a tradition to run around the house carrying items that represent what they want for the new year. This is a tradition they follow through with every year despite there being inches of snow on the ground. Oh and did i mention you do this barefoot. Yes i know, crazy. This was something that i knew i needed to participate in at least once. Despite my valiant effort I only made it around half the house. Jon, however made it twice around.

You look cute in all the pictures. Have I said that I really like you in bangs? It's a great look for you.

I would never have made it around the house barefoot in that snow. I'm impressed you got around even once. Then again, your stamina has always put mine to shame.
